Question your thoughts!
A lot of the pain that we are dealing with comes from our thoughts about ourselves.
If we all realised how powerful our thoughts are, we would never want to think a negative thought again.
When you can be understanding of yourself and realise that you are not your thoughts, wonderful things start to happen.
You can protect yourself from negative thoughts about yourself by regularly reminding yourself that your thoughts are not facts.
Choose a negative thought about yourself.
Can you put space between yourself and the thought for a few moments?
See if you can distance yourself from it.
How does the thought make you feel?
Can you ask yourself is this thought true?
How would it be if you were to think about this belief differently, from a place of self-compassion?
Experiment with regularly questioning and changing your perspective and notice any changes that occur
