EMDR -

When something upsetting or traumatic happens, your brain might struggle to process and make sense of it properly. This can lead to lingering negative feelings and distress.

EMDR, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a very effective type of therapy that helps people process and overcome traumatic experiences.

Instead of just talking about the traumatic event, EMDR involves me as your therapist guiding you through a series of bilateral stimulations while you think about the distressing memory. This might sound a bit unusual, but the idea is to help your brain reprocess and organise the memory more adaptively.

Are you struggling with a loss, a feeling of loneliness or isolation, and feel you need some support?
